Gabions<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=”30″][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Gabions are a unique way of building a variety of walls, ramps and exterior faces at demanding sites. The ready-made exterior face is robust, polished and uniform. The stones in the gabion are mechanically compacted to ensure that they will not move. This ensures a strong structure and uniformity of the baskets. The method is fast and cost-efficient: some 50 m2 of wall can be completed in a day.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, gabions are ecological and have an extremely small carbon footprint. A mechanical gabion is an excellent way of reusing stone material excavated from a construction site. Gabions and their properties<\/h2>\n

An exterior face made from mechanical gabions is uniform and has no seams, or visible ties or lacing cords. Mechanical gabions are compact and uniform in quality. A mechanical gabion is approximately 20\u201330% more compact than a gabion made by hand or with an excavator. Rounded edges make the surface pleasant and safe.<\/p>\n

Gabions are an extremely sturdy and durable solution: under normal conditions, their calculated corrosion resistance is some 100\u2013200 years. Different basket materials are available: hot galvanised steel, stainless steel, acid-proof steel and regular black steel, and the baskets can be painted with RAL colours. The baskets can also be manufactured from a variety of wire strengths. The regular option is 6 mm wire. Applications of mechanical gabions<\/h2>\n

Mechanical gabions can be used for a variety of applications. Gabions are an excellent solution for any site where high quality, accuracy and a naturally beautiful stone surface area required. The cost benefits are highest at large construction sites where machines are already available on site.<\/p>\n
